Prompt: "Revenge is a dish best served cold."
Hadrian was pissed and that was putting it mildly. No one could get away with scaring Maya so badly she shook as Hadrian held her. Luckily he knew the guy who had tried to intimidate Maya into withdrawing from an art contest that could win her a lot of money and how to find him. It was almost guaranteed that she would win and he knew that jealousy was running high amongst some of the other art club members. Once Maya had calmed down and let go of him Hadrian had left the art room in search of revenge.
The guy was sitting calmly at one of the cafeteria’s tables. Hadrian took a deep breath before walking over as calmly as possible to stand in front of the guy, Mikail. With controlled motions so that he wouldn’t actually hurt the guy that was pissing him off so badly. Hadrian pinned him against the wall eyes narrowed and dangerous. Most people wouldn’t be intimidated by him on a regular basis, but when someone hurt Maya the anger he worked hard to control tended to come out full force.
“Is something wrong?” Mikail questioned with a carefulness in his tone that belied the calm exterior he was trying to present.
“If you ever threaten, scare or hurt Maya again in any way I swear on my mother’s grave that I will make you wish you had never been born” he ground out.
“That’s a crime,” Mikail replied simply.
Hadrian smirked. “You’d have to prove it’s me before you could bring charges. Besides, I’m not stupid enough to hurt you physically. I’ll just destroy your reputation and any college you might be aspiring too.”
Hadrian calmly let Mikail go as eh stepped back with a smirk on his face that promised suffering to come should he not be obeyed.
Mikail swallowed against the lump in his throat. “What does it matter to you what happens to Maya?” he demanded as Hadrian started to walk away.
Hadrian paused and looked over his shoulder. “She saved me from myself more than once” he replied calmly before resuming his walk back to the art room.

Maya looked up when the art room door opened almost afraid of who might come through. She was trying to piece some of the paintings that had been ripped apart back together, but it was harder than it appeared. She let out a relieved sigh when it was Hadrian who walked over and sat down next to her at the table.
“Yeah, I’m just not sure what to do about all this,” she replied as her hand waved to take in all of the ripped pieces of paper. “I wasn’t planning on submitting any of it, but they’re class assignments. I have to put them in a portfolio at the end of the year.” She rested her chin in her hand as she stared at the work.
“You’ll figure something out,” Hadrian replied softly.
