Rating: PG-13
Character(s): Matsumoto Jun, Sakurai Sho
Prompt: Separated
Warnings: Sappiness
Notes: None
Summary: Jun calls Sho up while away filming a drama.
Jun didn't keep secrets from Sho. He just didn't do it. So he didn't really understand the conversation he was having with the older man.
"What's going on with you Jun? Are you busy? You sound distracted," Sho said. Jun fell back on the bed and put Sho on speaker so that he wouldn't have to keep holding the phone to his ear.
"No, I'm not doing anything, actually." I miss you. It was such a simple statement, but no matter how many times Jun tried to say it he just couldn't bring himself to. Sho would just worry and he had more important things to worry about than the fact that Jun was feeling lonely on a shoot.
"You're not out with your fellow actors having a grand time?" Sho teased.
Jun bit his lip as he stared at the ceiling fan slowly turning circles above him. "We have an early day tomorrow so I didn't think it a great idea to go out drinking with everyone," he lied. I can't stand them. I just want to get back to Tokyo, to you. "What're you doing?" he asked. He turned onto his side and positioned his cell phone so it was directly in front of him.
"Not much. Aiba and Ohno want to drag me out drinking in a little while, but I'm not sure I'll go. I bought a new book that I really want to read."
"You're such a dork," Jun teased. "What's the book?"
"It's called Confessions of a Yakuza. It looked really interesting when I was perusing the bookshelves at the store today." Jun grinned. Sho was definitely a dork. "I bet you'd like it," Sho added.
"Maybe. Read it first and let me know," Jun replied. "I have to go for the night. I'll call tomorrow."
"Sure. Hey, before you go, when do you get back to Tokyo?"
"One more week of shooting and I'll be back. Why?"
"No reason. Just curious. Good night."
"Night, Sho." Jun hung up and groaned. He rolled onto his stomach and pressed his face into his pillow. Why couldn't he just go home now? He didn't want to be separated from Sho anymore.
