I learned how to type in Japanese today so this post is going to be simple (very unbelievably simple) statements written in Japanese. ^_^ With the translation written next to it.

ナタリです。 I am Natalie.

わたしは大学生。 I am a college student.

わたしは四年生です。 I am a fourth year student.

日本りょりすきです。 I like Japanese food.

アメリカ人です。 I am American.

にじゅういっさいです。 I am 21-years-old.

日本語をれんしゅうします。 I practice Japanese.

きのうともだちにあいまうす。 Yesterday I met with a friend.

Told you they were simple. ^_^

Except when I am just looking at the characters, they look unbelievable complicated.

I learned how to type in Korean. But I haven't yet started studying the language enough to actually be able to say anything beyond a few phrases I've picked up here and there from all the YouTube watching I do.

I'm taking Japanese at school so it helps learn everything.

It does look complicated, but really, once you get the basics down it's just a matter of memorization.

Yes, but I haven't even begun learning the Japanese characters. I've barely just memorized the Korean characters (I am not very good with keeping up with studying. I stopped for a few months). And there are so many more Japanese characters than there are Korean characters. ^^

Look at it this way. You could be trying to learn Chinese. That has at least twice as many characters as Japanese, I think.

i wanna learn japanese ;_; and korean. and chinese (even though there's no such thing) and arabic. and polish.. you see where this is going. Maybe I'll start taking italian next year. Can't take french cause the limit is 3 languages in this school (already taking german and spanish). ^0^
I wish they had language tablets - eat one and be instantly fluent. ;3;

*laughs* I want to learn Korean, too, but for now I'm focusing on Japanese. I took Italian for 2 years, but I don't remember much.
