If you are here for my fics, please head over to [livejournal.com profile] skyangelfics and friend that journal. If there are fics posted before the creation of that journal just look at my tags. My fics here are not flocked and can be found through my memories. If you ask to be added to read my fics you will not be added back.

Please comment with either how I know you - I don't always recognize usernames - or why I should add you if we haven't talked.

Thank you.

23 Reasons to Love U-Kiss

Note: This was written before NHM announced their idiocy to the world and kicked out both Kibum and Xander. We both still fully support U-Kiss (the 5 remaining members, the new member being added in for the comeback, Kibum and Xander). Hate the company, support the artists, even if it means that NHM is still making money off the fans.

1. Their music
[livejournal.com profile] dizzy_grace says: It’s very good. A little heavy on the autotuning during choruses, but the boys can sing and rap. If you’re not a fan of autotuning, like me, check out their earlier stuff like “Talk to Me”

[livejournal.com profile] renichifreak says: I love their songs. They’re just so catchy and rough, and that’s something that everyone needs to hear~

2. Kiseop was in the Not Young MV, so really they were always together
[livejournal.com profile] dizzy_grace says: You can spot him interacting with Kibum around 2:50.

3. Fantastic bodies
[livejournal.com profile] dizzy_grace says: Between the arms and abs they’ll probably have you staring in no time. I mean, even Kevin has abs now and that was thought impossible. It helps that Kibum and Kiseop like to take their shirts off. No, really. They honestly do. Legitimately THIS is the reason I started paying attention to U-Kiss.

[livejournal.com profile] renichifreak says: With the exceptions of Kibum and Kiseop, they rarely flash their abs, so it’s one of those rare times when you flip at the sight of skin. And DAMN, do they make you flip…><

4. Pops in Seoul
[livejournal.com profile] dizzy_grace says: Xander, Eli and Kevin being dorks. It’s mostly an excuse to goof off and so much fun because of it.

[livejournal.com profile] renichifreak says: Between Kevin’s aegyo, Xander’s oddness, and Eli, well…being Eli, this makes for some great watching.

5. Soohyun’s voice
[livejournal.com profile] dizzy_grace says: He makes me swoon. No joke. Few men can do that with just their voice, but he does.

[livejournal.com profile] renichifreak says: *________* That is all

6. Kevin and Dongho make pretty girls
[livejournal.com profile] dizzy_grace says: No, really. They’re gorgeous girls and are prettier than me when they put on a wig and start dancing to girl groups.

[livejournal.com profile] renichifreak says: It’s not fair that they make prettier girls than I do

7. They’re all addicted to Twitter
[livejournal.com profile] dizzy_grace says: No, really. They’re on their all the time. Kiseop even managed to crash his car because he was tweeting. And then he tweeted about it. Xander had an identity crisis. Seriously. And came up with Xandernese. But honestly, check out all their twitters. @90KKB, @KevinWoo91, @alexander_0729, @KiSSeop91, @u_kisseli, @ukissSH, @Dongho94, @thsgoku (that's Hoon)

[livejournal.com profile] renichifreak says: It's not often that you come across celebs fearing that they're pregnant over twitter, and especially not when it's a guy...Xander, of course, was the exception to that one.

8. Selcaing
[livejournal.com profile] dizzy_grace says: With a famous ulzzang in the group (Kiseop) it’s not much of a surprise that they selca. Constantly. Their love affair with twitter assists with this because they post their selcas all the time.

[livejournal.com profile] renichifreak says: and Kibum and Kiseop seem to like flashing their abs for the camera and KISS-Mes all over the world~

9. PiroPiro
[livejournal.com profile] dizzy_grace says: Kibum and Hyungjoon’s character and side business. The U-Kiss boys like to whore it around and Soohyun even put it on 2PM’s Junho when they won at one of the music shows. But really, it’s always showing up. Somewhere.

[livejournal.com profile] renichifreak says: I WANT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

10. Vampire
[livejournal.com profile] dizzy_grace says: U-Kiss’s first experience with… a lot of things. The first time they lived in a dorm, the first time 4 of them went out on a date, the first time they took care of zoo animals, and other things. More importantly, it’s epically hilarious and the entire thing is subbed on YouTube.

[livejournal.com profile] renichifreak says: Kiseop making a break for it when he was forced to go on a scary as hell ride and the Type O’s carried him back - literally

11. They legit lost to elementary school kids in a knowledge contest
[livejournal.com profile] dizzy_grace says: This happened during Vampire, but is worth a separate mention. They had a contest against elementary school kids to see who could spell better and who knew their sayings better. The elementary school kids won. And also proved slightly more mature than U-Kiss.

12. Limbo
[livejournal.com profile] dizzy_grace and [livejournal.com profile] renichifreak say: Another Vampire moment worthy of a separate mention. Check out Eli’s cheating, Kibum’s cat pose, the skinship and Dongho claiming he won… after he lost.

13. They were kidnapped… and most didn’t care
[livejournal.com profile] dizzy_grace says: The Infinity Girls were given the task of kidnapping U-Kiss. Watching for their reactions is a must. Also, Eli gets kidnapped twice, but the second time he is much happier about it. Unfortunately, it was taken off YouTube, so you’ll have to download parts 1 and 2 to watch.

[livejournal.com profile] renichifreak says: Kibum hiding in the car park begging to be let inside and Dongho asking to be tied up only added to the hilarity

14. Xander’s identity crisis
[livejournal.com profile] dizzy_grace says: Xander is Korean, Portugese and Chinese. This led to a slight identity crisis in which he decided that he is Xandernese from Xanderland. We’re not kidding. It all happened on twitter.

15. Loyal Kiss Mes and their love for them
[livejournal.com profile] renichifreak says: A fan fainted at a fanmeet and Soohyun remained by her side until he was positive that she was alright. While I’m sure many would be worried, Soohyun went a step further, which I found very moving.

[livejournal.com profile] dizzy_grace and [livejournal.com profile] renichifreak say: Awwww

16. Super amazing reactions to being #2 on Oricon
[livejournal.com profile] dizzy_grace says: These boys, being underrated, haven’t exactly won any awards so when they found out they were ranked #2 on Oricon’s daily chart they broke down into tears and had a hugging fest because they were so happy.

[livejournal.com profile] renichifreak says: any group that would cry like that over #2 deserves to be #1...just sayin’

17. Ask Xander
[livejournal.com profile] dizzy_grace says: Watch the video and you will understand. It is epic.

[livejournal.com profile] renichifreak says: make sure you’re sitting down when you watch~

18. Dongho Aegyo
[livejournal.com profile] dizzy_grace says: Maknae has been in the business since he was itty bitty. He’s beyond adorable.

[livejournal.com profile] renichifreak says: cutest eye smiles ever

19. Skinship
[livejournal.com profile] dizzy_grace says: The boys love it. And indulge in it often. Plus, Kibum’s equal opportunity and will take the opportunity to molest or be molested by all of the other members. But the others are big on it, too, and it even gets incorporated into their choreography.

20. Kiseop’s dancing
[livejournal.com profile] dizzy_grace and [livejournal.com profile] renichifreak say: We personally vote for Kiseop being allowed to dance shirtless as much as possible. The dance break in Shut Up is a very good example of why that is.

21. Xander’s fail Korean
[livejournal.com profile] dizzy_grace says: Poor baby knows too many languages for his own good. He’s fluent in 7 and started learning an 8th. However, this leads to him being incredibly confused on a regular basis while also confusing everyone else with his attempts at Korean.

22. Only One Photoshoot
[livejournal.com profile] dizzy_grace says: We’ll just let you look at the pictures to see why this is a reason to love U-Kiss. Trust me, you'll want all of these.

[livejournal.com profile] renichifreak says: This photoshoot seriously feeds biases, pairings, or just their love for seeing pretty boys all over each other. It's a must-see for every Kiss-Me.

23. End of the Road
[livejournal.com profile] dizzy_grace says: The boys are fond of singing it and we, personally, are very fond of listening to it. Here’s just the audio so you can hear it properly and here’s a fancam of them performing it.

[livejournal.com profile] renichifreak says: next to the original by Boyz II Men, this is the best rendition I have ever had the pleasure of hearing

Honorable Mention
This technically happened when Kibum was in Xing, but [livejournal.com profile] renichifreak and [livejournal.com profile] dizzy_grace are extremely biased so have some Kitty!Kibum in gif, jpeg and video form. :D

I am officially home safe and sound. I shall post a nice long entry about my adventures later after I get some homework done. I wasn't nearly as productive as I would have liked and Prince is being a demanding little cat for attention. So, don't expect to see me online until later tonight.
dizzygraceful: (PoT: sleepy)
Liz, Jill, I tried to IM you. Not sure if you got the messages, but the internet at the hotel is being fickle. It looked like I had a strong connection, but now it's flipping in and out so IMing is not going to work how I wanted it to.

Tomorrow shall be a longer post about the freaky hotel that scares me.

Now, though, I need to poke at my paper - if I can just get a paragraph done before I stop thinking I'll be happy - and go to bed. Today was not fun once we left my grandparent's house. Plenty of fun before it, but not after it.
dizzygraceful: (DBSK: CM Screw HW LJ calls)
I'm stealing my grandparent's internet for a bit to check e-mail and look up the citation information for Firefly and Serenity as I do not have either handy. The paper is getting close to done and I'm glad for that. I'll have to go back and make sure that I insert sources into my main argument part, but that shouldn't be hard to do next week.

I miss my critters. I was actually disappointed when I didn't have a kitty alarm clock this morning telling me to wake up and pet him. Jon, the smartass that he is, keeps asking me where the cats are. I'm told Beau is doing just fine with Pam and Crystal which is very good. I was a little worried about him, but he's doing good. Hopefully by the time we get back Sam will be over his cold.

That's all. I'm going to see if Jon wants to borrow my laptop to check his e-mail. We're both afraid of my grandparent's computer because it's so incredibly slow. ^_^"
dizzygraceful: (Arashi: Cute Jun)
Short and sweet since I'm supposed to be hanging out with family.

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all can think of something to be thankful for!
dizzygraceful: (Default)
I'm posting now on the off chance that I won't have internet access later today. Not much to say this early in the morning except that I've gotten the last of my packing done and now I just need to get dressed. ^_^

Oh, and I now have Photoshop Elements no my computer courtesy of Pam. Crystal and I got it for Pam's birthday and now she's letting us put it on our laptops. Yay! ... Though, I probably should have waited until I got back to put it on. That's one more distraction I don't particularly need.
dizzygraceful: (PoT: not amused)
So work could not be more boring than it currently is. The other student worker and I have nothing to do. Maybe I'll work on the samurai fic that was bouncing around in my head last night before I went to bed. I have two manga with me, but they're not holding my attention. Surprising since I love both series so far.

My boss here at the AAPC apparently took another job since I last worked on Thursday. She's not in the office anymore so I'm wondering who I should ask for work when no one else knows what to do with the student workers. If I had known that there was no work to be done I'd have brought my paper to poke at. I'm at the point where I actually have to start analysis on it. I need to figure out how to organize it, though. I'm debating between chronological order and type of relationship. That probably doesn't make any sense to anyone but me. I'm arguing that the types of relationships in Firefly and Serenity are what drive the plot making it more drama than science fiction. So I could go in order of the episodes or I could do one main relationship type at a time. Relationship types will give me clear headers. Chronological order will be less confusing for the reader as I talk about specific plot elements.

Yeah... okay, I'm out of things to say. Off to find entertainment.
dizzygraceful: (Default)
I had an idea for this post, but I just found out something that's completely dried up my words for anything other than fiction.

This year can be over now, thanks.
dizzygraceful: (Beyblade: happy)
So, I am officially not freaking out over my paper as I think it will go quite smoothly if I just work on it a little bit everyday. So, I am done early than expected and feel good about that. I got a prompt written for [livejournal.com profile] fanfic100 that I'm quite proud of, actually. It's rare that I say that, but I really like this latest samurai fic.

I'm a little worried about my ability to keep up with this. Hopefully the hotels will have free wifi that I can use. I should be able to sneak on my grandparents' computer while I'm there and post for those two days. Though, Thursday's is likely to be "Happy Thanksgiving" in big sparkly letters.

I need to make a big note that says "Call Vet about Prince" and post it to my closet door, though. Otherwise I probably won't remember until after they close and I want to know what I should do about his sniffling and sneezing.

I'm sure I could ramble for a while longer, but I have nothing of importance to say nor anything terribly amusing.

Oh, and mood completely chosen because Super Junior's attempt at synchronized swimming amuses me to no end.
dizzygraceful: (Bleach: issues)
My amazing plan to be extremely productive was ruined today. Mom asked if I had time to shop for two of my cousins. I honestly didn't think it would take 4 hours to shop. *headdesk*

Hopefully I can still finish my paper that's due Monday and then change the plan to watching Serenity tonight instead of tomorrow. If I'm lucky that'll put me back on track.

Paper due Monday is finished. Thank goodness.

Edit: I really need to stop freaking out. It really isn't as bad as it seems.
dizzygraceful: (Random: homework)
The following is what I have to get done this weekend. I will not be online until I get everything accomplished that I want to for the day. Hopefully I can be extremely productive and get on after dinner. However, I'm questioning that ability.

Saturday, November 22
1. Write intro and half of body of OL&SM paper
2. Watch final three episodes of Firefly
3. Finish OL&SM paper
4. Fix first five pages of FFS paper

Sunday, November 23
1. Write at least 3 pages of FFS paper
2. Post Voice Thread
3. Write remaining pages of FSS paper to get to page 10
4. Watch Serenity
dizzygraceful: (PoT: sleepy)
Freshmen college students amuse me. Really, they do. Most of them were eligible to register for classes today. The way my university works is that every day a new group of students can register based on number of hours earned not including the current semester's hours. Super Seniors (those who have enough hours to graduate, but for some reason haven't) go first. Well, not technically. There are four groups that have priority registration. Honors, athletes, tour guides and students with disabilities get to register several weeks ahead of even seniors. My issues with this policy is a post in and of itself and I will not go into it.

Now, today is when students with 0 earned hours could register for classes. This is the vast majority of freshmen. This is the group that came in with no credits. No APs or anything like that. Sucks for them, but not my problem.

What is my problem is that they have to be advised by the Academic Advising and Planning Center (aka the AAPC) before they can register for classes. These freshmen have been e-mailed a minimum of three times about this requirement and yet some of them had the nerve to call today and demand to be seen by their adviser so that they can register for classes today like they're supposed to. The advisers have been booked solid since, oh, about two weeks ago. The other student workers, the full time administrative assistant and I took great pleasure in explaining that there was no way they could meet with their adviser until December 1st in the vast majority of cases. 2 advisers had appointments available on Tuesday next week. That's it.

Seriously, this crop of freshmen needs to read their e-mails. There are some in serious threat of being kicked out of school because they haven't turned in their final high school transcripts. Honestly now people. This is not rocket science or anything of the like.
dizzygraceful: (DBSK: CM Screw HW LJ calls)
Watching Firefly for my paper that I have to do for Media Criticism.

I am reminded of all the reasons I love this show. Such lines as "If someone tries to kill you, you try to kill them right back" and "'Finally a good wound on this ship and I miss it.' 'Yeah, well, you were off trying to get yourself burned'" and "If you take sexual advantage of that girl you will go to the special hell reserved for child molesters and people who talk in the theater" make me giggle.

However, I am slightly concerned that I won't be able to enjoy this much after I analyze the hell out of it for 13 pages.
dizzygraceful: (Default)
I have started this entry 3 different times and come up with nothing. That is sad and pathetic, but there it is.

School has completely eaten my brain which is normal for this time of the semester. I'm a little worried about my Thanksgiving break. I don't know if I'll have much of one. I'm going to probably end up feeling really bad as I try to work on homework and perfect a paper while I'm supposed to be spending time with my family.

It doesn't help that my immune system is returning to what it was in junior high. Essentially that means that I'm constantly caught somewhere between being actually sick and being healthy. I'm tired, achy, and lack the motivation I've had in past semesters. I'm sure it's because after Emily died I just kept going. I didn't let myself slow down because I didn't want to deal with her death. That means that my body hasn't gotten any decent break in 8 months and that's probably not a good thing.

If I shut myself away for the weekend and only do homework I might be able to pull off having a Thanksgiving break, but even then I'll be traveling 4 of the 5 days of break. If I'm lucky I'll be able to sleep for most of it. If I'm not... well, I'm not going there. This week I have got to get the last few parts of my interpersonal comm project written. Then this weekend I have to write 2 papers. One 5 page and one 13-15 page. I'm more worried about the longer one because it's for a major class, but the 5 page one is still going to take up time. I'd work later into the evenings, but I get to the point where I just can't focus anymore.

On the bright side, out of 53 words I only got 11 wrong when going through the vocab for my Japanese quiz on Friday.
dizzygraceful: (TeniMyu: dream)
So, this post is actually inspired by [livejournal.com profile] wiccanlilly's post. I wouldn't have thought about to write about it if she hadn't mentioned something similar in her post.

Today I could not stop thinking about Emily. Now, I know that it's normal to think of her and I often do, but practically everything today was reminding me of her.

In Interpersonal Comm today I was talking to my professor about these letters I have to write because I'm having trouble figuring out who to write the last two to. She asked me if there were people I could think of that I have more than one ritual with that I have already written to. Well, I wrote a letter to Emily's parents and I definitely had more than one ritual with her, but I knew that I didn't want to send another letter. The first one had me in tears I didn't want to put myself through it so soon again. But Emily was the first person I thought of. Not my other friends who I have rituals with, but Emily.

For about a semester every time she and I went into a Moe's - any Moe's and there were at least 3 we went to - we always heard the song Jessica. Always. So when Crystal and I went to Moe's today and Jessica started playing I was stuck in memory mode. Just remembering all the times Emily and I went to Moe's which was at least once a week unless we were on break. Seriously, there's a reason the guys at the downtown Moe's know what I order. Emily and I were addicted.

Then on the way home I was driving down the interstate and the person next to me got really close to the line between our lanes. What do I think about? Emily's accident. It made no sense for me to think about that when there wasn't going to be an accident, there was no ambulance - though I'd seen one that morning - and it would have been a completely different kind of accident. But I couldn't get my mind off of it. I was stuck on thinking about every aspect of the accident and I've gone over it so many times there's not much to do but rehash everything. That's what I did, though. I almost started the cycle of wanting to be able to blame someone for it. Mostly I want to blame the ambulance driver, but that's because I really don't think he should have been driving. However, given the situation he can't be blamed. Hell, even the police cleared him of legal liability.

Anyway, isn't the way my mind work lovely? I get stuck on one theme and it's there all day. Today's just happened to be a little more painful.
dizzygraceful: (Default)
So I've had this layout since July and it's wonderful because it has Kibum and I have a severe Kibum bias. However, I think I'm getting bored with it and want something new. However, that means searching the various layout comms for something that I like because I'm not overly fond of any of the ones that LJ gives you. I've used all the ones that I like and I don't feel like being repetitive.

Anyone know any good layout comms other than [livejournal.com profile] freelayouts?

In other news, for those who knew of my back issues, they're gone for the most part. There's still a dull ache in my lower back, but I can sleep and that's the main thing that I care about.
dizzygraceful: (Bleach: issues)
There shall be two parts to today's entry. First part concerning PDA and the second is about Ninja Warrior. ^_^

I actually meant to write this up the other day, but completely forgot to. I usually don't mind PDA. I've done it myself - my ex-boyfriend and I ended up at the park a lot and would find a nice bench to make out on - but there is a time and a place for it. The crowded elevator of the parking garage at 8:40 in the morning is neither the time nor the place to be pressed up against your boy/girlfriend kissing his/her neck. Seriously, no one wants to be that close to your PDA. At least in the park people could make a wide berth around my ex and I or go in a different direction should they choose to. There's no where to go when you can't possibly fit even a two-year-old on the elevator.

Okay, end that rant.

Now for the part that probably only Liz is interested in.

Ninja Warrior )
dizzygraceful: (Random: homework)
I almost forgot to post today. As it's late and I'm still not feeling that great I'm just posting the to do list I have for this weekend. This is why I probably won't be around tomorrow or Sunday during the day. Just in the evenings when I've decided I'm done with homework.

Scenes for Firefly paper
Movie for Interpersonal Comm
Read Happier Ch 1&2
Read Office Ladies & Salaried Men - over halfway there done
Japanese WB
dizzygraceful: (PoT: OMG)
So, Liz and I watched Ninja Warrior last night. It was much fun, though I was sorely disappointed that Aniki and Mr. Delivery Man were not there. Nor were Mr. Octopus, Mr. Sculptor or Mr. Hang glider, Yes, all have names, but that's what Liz and I call them. Anyway, it was much fun despite being sick and not being able to flail properly. Sadly I had to go to bed before it was done, but there were a few golden moments.

Firstly, there was Mr. Fake Yazuka. He was all dressed up in a nice suit and I just knew what was going to happen next. When the air horn thing sounded him to start he tried to remove the suit. This was bad because he had issues getting out of his pants and then getting his shoes back on. He didn't make it past the first obstacle. It was pathetic, but funny at the same time.

Secondly, there was the head of the Renaissance Comedy Troupe who was drinking wine before he attempted the course. I was amazed he didn't fall as soon as he tried to go. He failed on the first obstacle.

Thirdly, there was the guy - Liz and I can't really remember who he was - that attempted the course in white short shorts. Now, keep in mind that there are maybe 2 obstacles in the entire four stage course that won't end up with the person soaked in water. The vast majority of the obstacles are over water. White short shorts + water = I hope he had a towel nearby.

There was one major disappointment. Of my two favorite competitors only one competed. Aniki wasn't there for some reason. Aniki also disappointed me by not going to the Olympics for the trampoline. Anyway, him not competing is not the disappointment. My other favorite competitor is Yamamoto Shingo. He's been in every single Ninja Warrior and he's much fun. However, he failed on the first stage on an obstacle all the other All Stars had no problem with. It was highly disappointing and I was very sad.

Okay, I'm done rambling about Ninja Warrior now. ^_^
